Our Verdict

Best for Flat Feet

Adidas Harden Vol. 6 is a very wide-foot-friendly sneaker for flat-foot players. The support, perfect shape, and smooth heel-toe transition will give you a great lock-down feel on the court. Any slim-foot player can have an issue with size.  Boost midsole cushioning setup is very supportive on the court as it gives energy returns for high jumps all the time. Only the material could have been a little better. But performance wises its traction, and cushion support are outstanding.

The most comfortable full-length Boost-cushioning returns energy for quick movement. The same cushioning was applied on Vol.1 and Vol.3, they brought it back for its excellent performance reviews on the court.

The traction and support pattern ensures stability for rapid and precise moves. Adidas Harden vol. 6 is an eco-friendly pair as it is (to 25%) made out of 50% recycled post-consumer household waste.

The traction pattern on the outsole of the harden vol. 6 is a conventional herringbone pattern.

The rubber on the outsole has thick grooves. It has deep grooves in between that are necessary to offer a solid grip over the indoor courts.

The finer traction on the outer side of the shoe offers a better grip.

Traction on the harden vol. 6 is so good that it does not even slip on a wet floor. However, the rubber outsole gets dirty on the outdoor courts very easily.

It needs wiping off after a few hours but it offers good traction on outdoor courts.

The Adidas Harden Vol. 6 uses full-length boost midsole cushioning. Alongside the Nike zoom air, the Adidas boost is also one of the best cushioning setups.

The midfoot area has enough padding to support the Arch issue. The soft and plush cushioning is very supportive on the hardwood floors. It provides the best impact protection and energy return. You will feel super protected during the crazy high jumps. it gives incredible energy return.

This cushioning maintains a fair balance between the nice court feel and impact protection. It is very responsive and it delivers energy returns on the fast and high jumps and impact protection is superb on heel strikes.

Adidas has taken a step to make shoes from recycled materials. So this hardened vol 6 is also manufactured from 50% of production waste for its 25% parts.

The upper part of Adidas harden vol 6 is made up of super minimal textile material. The materials feel thin and light but not as light as the lightweight mesh uppers.

James Harden’s signature shoe materials feel comfortable. it is stretchable it conforms to feet very easily. So the material on Adidas Harden vol. 6 is flexible and very soft so it takes minimal time to break in.

The look of the material is not so premium. It looks cheap and in many colourways, it gets dirty very easily.  Also, it has a Harden branding logo just above the laces that looks cool.

The tongue is made up of pretty breathable mesh material.

So on Adidas vol. 6, the material quality could have been a bit better.

The support and stability pattern in Adidas Harden vol. 6 is awesome. James Hardens 6th signature shoes are equally great for regular basketball players as well as the one who needs planter facilities in their basketball shoes.

The shoes have a  torsional plate in the midsole, it adds torsional rigidity to the midfoot area.

The shoe has a very hard internal TPU heel counter. That supports the heel and Achillies area very well. The internal sides of the heel have six Achillies pads to provide extra comfort to the stiff Achilles tendon.

The side of the shoes has a nice caging on the heel and midfoot area so there would not be any issue with lateral movements.

Your foot feels locked and secured. The shoe base is pretty wide so the lateral stability is also extremely good.

So Adidas vol. 6 is a great choice if you are looking for a shoe with an awesome support pattern.

Adidas Harden Vol 6 has a wide base. So very narrow feet basketball players must go half size down for better fit and lockdown.

But the shoe has a very nice fit. It contains your foot in place and gives a locked-down feel with its great fit in place. The Adidas Harden Vol. 6 has a Lacing system for a better fit.

Very wide feet basketball players may feel it snug in the toe box as it is not too wide in the forefoot area. But overall, a true-to-size shoe is the best fit.

Looks / Appearance/ Colorways:

This sticks very well on the indoor as well as outdoor floors.

On very dirty surfaces on outdoor courts, the hardened vol. 6 may pick up dust, but it wipes off easily. So the outdoor performance is outstanding.

The rubber grooves are thick and very hard. The Adidas Harden vol. 6 is tested on hard outdoor surfaces for durability.

Its outer rubber outsole does not get affected so much. So it will surely last a couple of seasons for its excellent durability.

I can’t say I am happy with Adidas to harden vol. 6 but I am not disappointed either. Overall Harden vol. 6 is a decent basketball shoe for positions one through four”

2-Sole Brothers

It is a really good responsive shoe because the traction was really good, cushion super responsive, low to the ground, support is great,

once you keep playing in it it feels light on the floor. The only issue is it is a hot shoe for its less ventilation. But I really like playing in it”

3-Shoe ware

“Material is not so premium but Harden vol. 6 is improved from the last one Adidas 5. Improvements are made in traction, cushion, and support.”

“Overall the design is similar to Harden vol. 1. The traction is reportedly excellent. Also, the caged boost cushion is similar to vol. 1. The lack of innovation and premium material also lead to some questions.”

“I think it’s a good shoe the only things that concern me are traction and discomfort with the low top cut. overall it will get an 8.8/10”
