Detailed Puma TRC Blaze Court Review

Puma TRC Blaze Court is an incredible innovation of the street-style Blaze of Glory. The chick-style shoe seriously took the attention of players and reviewers all at once.

Puma TRC Blaze Court is the first of Puma’s Basketball shoes that feature Trinomic outsole. It’s an incredible design that was first introduced in a Puma shoe in 1991.

Which is basically a honeycomb-shaped system in the sole that gives compresses and rebounds

The triangular mark of Trinomic on a Puma shoe reveals that you are gonna get three things out of the shoe. Cushion, Stability, Flexibility.

On the court performance of Puma TRC, Blaze Court has impressed the authority hoopers. Ranking it better than PG 6 in the cushion, Luka 1 in grip, and Way of wade 10 in agility.

Let’s have a complete breakdown of its performance on the court.

Related: Top 10 Best Traction Basketball Shoes

1. Traction:

The Puma TRC Blaze Court outsole traction pattern is something that you expect from a hoop shoe. It’s amazing right out of the box.

The rubber outsole of the shoe has a triangular-shaped criss-cross pattern from the top to the bottom of the outsole.

The rubber compounds are very solid and thick. It gives you nothing less than a crazy grip on the basketball court.

Traction will work great on indoor clean courts. However, on the dusty basketball courts, it needs frequent wipes.

Because the rubber has narrow spacing and the dust is likely to stick in between them so make sure to clean it to get the best traction performance.

2. Cushion:

Cushioning is where Puma has implemented its most responsive setup. Trinomic cushion, which is a combination of Profoam+, and Pebax foam.

Full-length profoam+ gives a springiness to your jumps. While Trinomic cushion is known for rebound energy that the shoe returns every time you jump.

The cushion combined with the midfoot shank plate stores an immense amount o potential energy and releases it on your jumps.

It’s a great cushioning when you try to jump over someone’s head. Overall, It’s a responsive and very bouncy setup.

3. Material:

Puma TRC Blaze Court has minimal upper material. It does not have a premium look at the first sight.

But we noticed that it looks great on a few colorways and the mesh upper has synthetic overlays on the toe box.

The sides of the shoe have plastic material that works to properly lock down your feet on the footbed. These give ankle support by restricting the ankles nicely in their place.

The back of the shoe is padded. The tongue of the shoe has triple-layer padding. Overall, the material is minimal and supportive. It takes no time to break in.

4. Support:

Puma TRC Blaze Court has covered every aspect of support. These are very supportive shoes for arch pain, and flat feet players.

It has an internal heel counter to support and protect the ankle area. The internal heel counter works in conjunction with the plastic overlays on the heel to give you the best ankle support. It gives you nice lateral containment.

The midfoot area has a stiff shank plate. That protects the Achillies area and prevents any arch pain.

On the forefoot, the suede material is acting as a side wall for lateral stability.

You would not feel any heel slippage as it locks your feet down on the footbed. Overall, it’s a very supportive shoe.

5. Fit:

Puma TRC Blaze Court has a slightly snug fit. So if you are a big player and have a very wide foot. You should go half a size up from your actual; size.

The Puma shoe is snug on the pinky toe area for wide feet players.

But for narrow and medium footers, and people who like snug-fit performance hoop shoes. These offer the best possible fit.

6. Looks / Appearance/ Colorways:

Puma TRC Blaze Court is a nice combination of old-school looks with modern aesthetics. It has attractive colorways that retail for 115$.

It is available in many colorways such as Puma White-Cherry Tomato, Neon Citrus-Fizzy Melon, Puma Black-Cherry Tomato, Puma White-Spectra Yello, Eggshell Blue-Elektro Pool, etc.

7. Outdoor/Durability:

Puma TRC Blaze Court is tested for outdoor performance and its traction is okay-ish on outdoor courts too.

The tread pattern on the Puma Blaze court picks up dust and the rubber compounds on the outsole have narrow spacing. So the outdoor usage is not perfect but it does get the job done.

The upper material has fused overlays on the toe box area. That is very durable for toe drags on the court.

However, the outsole tread has narrow spacing between the rubber compounds. So these are not very durable on hard outdoor surfaces.

8. Breathability/Ventilation:

Puma TRC Blaze Court’s upper material is textile mesh. It is not very ventilated. Although the shoe is light and minimal. It allows you to do shift movements without any discomfort. But there is not much airflow in the shoe.

9. User Review

Puma TRC Blaze Court has amazing aesthetics. Most of its colorways are very cool and have a retro touch. Users loved the on-court performance of these Puma shoes.

Kentavious Wilcox

“While playing in the TRC, I had one of the best game performances that I can remember. I was hitting in-game dunks, getting the gym hype. I was hitting side steps threes like Luka. I haven’t been in that killer movie in such a long time. I have been very efficient every time I play in them.”

Soled Out Reviews

“ Great traction, cheap material, great comfort, true to size. I had absolutely no issue with the fit. It feels great on the foot and pretty well conforms to the foot shape.it’s overall amazing.”

Shoeware

“ Puma delivers another solid shoe to hoop in with TRC Blaze Court. Cushioning is the weak point of the shoe but it still feels really good. In it, you get a light shoe with great support and great traction for 120$. I’d definitely go for it.”
